Dr. Lo is based in Hong Kong and brings 24 years of corporate law experience with an emphasis on Chinese capital markets and foreign direct investment transactions. Prior to joining CRCI in 2006, Dr. Lo practiced with several prominent international law firms with a focus on China transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, other forms of cross-border investment, capital markets work and private equity transactions. Dr. Lo joined CRCI from Debevoise & Plimpton, where he had practiced as a senior lawyer since 2003.

Dr. Lo was previously with Pillsbury Winthrop, having joined its predecessor firm Winthrop Stimson in 1999, as a partner, later managing its Hong Kong office.  He practiced in New York from 1988 to 1993 with Skadden Arps as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer, and later transferred to Asia, where he worked in both the Beijing and Hong Kong offices. Dr. Lo’s previous clients include China Life Insurance, Dongfeng Motors, Baosteel Corporation, China Development Bank, China Construction Bank, CITIC Pacific Limited, Huaneng International Power, Shanghai Industrial, Eastman Kodak, Colgate-Palmolive, as well as several major investment banks. Prior to law school Dr. Lo was a senior scientist and research group leader for Enzo Biochem Corp.

Dr. Lo received a JD from Columbia University Law School where he was a Stone Scholar.  He also holds a PhD in Health Science from the State University of New York and a BS with a major in Physics with honors from California Institute of Technology.
